2008 Mile High Vocals Compilation CD

The Mile High Vocals CD project was a concept created by Andrew Hoag, the founder of Colorado A Cappella.  His vision was to create a CD that exemplified a cross section of all a cappella music in Colorado.  With the technical support and funding of Tony Huerta at Sonic Audio Productions, the Mile High Vocals CD is finally becoming a reality.

The Groups chosen for the 2008 Mile High Vocals CD project are:

Scholastic Groups:
  • Air Academy High School "Out of the Blue"
  • Cheyenne Mountain High School "Crimson"
  • University of Denver "Idiosingcrasies"
  • University of Colorado, Boulder "Mile 21"
  • University of Colorado, Boulder "Extreme Measures"
  • University of Colorado, Boulder "In The Buff"
  • United States Air Force Academy "In the Stairwell"

Professional Groups:
  • Face
  • Nexus Barbershop Quartet
  • Groove Society
  • The Denver A Cappella Project
  • The 40th Parallel
  • Ignition Quartet
  • The Sound of the Rockies Chorus

Colorado A Cappella has established a scholarship and will be sponsoring 1 participating group in the amount of $200 to pay for a portion of their recording costs with Sonic Audio Productions.  The group we have chosen this year is:
    • The University of Denver "Idiosingcrasies"
